RATIONAL NUMBERS
Rational numbers are any number that can be written as a fraction. This is most of the numbers we work with normally. Remember, whole numbers can be written as fractions, 3 = 3/1. Decimals and negatives are also rational numbers. So which numbers are NOT rationals? They are called the irrationals and are numbers like π and the square root of 2. These are non-repeating decimal numbers.
