Polynomials means many terms. In algebra, terms are products separated by addition or subtraction. For example: 5x2y4 - 3x2y3 + 2x3y - 6xy2 + 4x - 3y + 2 is a polynomial with 7 terms and a degree of 6. The degree is the highest total of the individual term’s exponents.
